World of Work

Parents: this page turns “I don’t know what I want to do” into a clear pathway — skills, roles, habits, and real-world proof that connects directly into CV Jump Start, Work Experience and Interview Success.

Practical skills + habits
Mentor-ready action plan
How this connects

One journey. Multiple pages working together.

World of Work helps your child choose a direction and build the right habits. Then Work Experience gives proof, CV Jump Start organises it, and Interview Success turns it into confident answers. Mentoring ties it all together and helps your child follow through.

If you want this to feed into accreditation, your child should keep their portfolio and evidence pack updated. Mentors can help turn this plan into certifiable outcomes.

Parents

How you can help (without nagging)

Keep it simple: routine, proof, and encouragement.

1) Make it real

Ask: “What proof will we have by Sunday?” Photos, notes, results, or a small task completed.

2) Keep routine tiny

30–60 minutes a week beats bursts. Consistency builds confidence.

3) Use mentoring well

Bring the action plan to mentoring and let the mentor challenge their thinking and raise the standard.

Next step
