Why Nu FOCUS exists
Skills for everyday life
Conventional education cannot cover every money decision, workplace habit, enterprise challenge or confidence-building moment a young person will meet. Nu FOCUS adds a future-facing layer where those gaps can be explored through useful action.
Our role is not to replace school.It is to create practical routes from learning to independence, contribution and opportunity.

Ask a specific questionIs Nu FOCUS a school?
Nu FOCUS is a community interest company providing a practical layer alongside conventional education. Its programmes support financial literacy, wellbeing, enterprise and work readiness. Any alternative-provision placement is arranged separately with the responsible family, school or commissioner.
How do young people learn with Nu FOCUS?
Learning can combine online activities, books and challenge resources, practical projects, mentoring, events, work-related preparation and in-person delivery. The mix depends on the programme and the learner’s starting point.
Can completed work receive formal recognition?
Nu FOCUS is registered to use AQA Unit Award Scheme validated units. Eligible work can receive optional recognition only when it is mapped to a suitable unit and the required evidence is completed and checked. The accreditation page explains the current process and fee.
Where is Nu FOCUS based?
Nu FOCUS Education CIC is based at 7 Church Arcade, Bedford, MK40 1LQ. Some learning is delivered online and some activity is delivered in person, depending on the programme.
