The planner supports exploration. It does not assess, place or decide for a young person.

Is this a careers assessment?

No. It is a starting-point tool that turns broad interests and preferred ways of working into role families to explore, a small proof task and a practical next step. It does not determine which career a young person should choose.

Does the planner find or guarantee work experience?

No. The planner helps a young person explore a direction and build useful evidence. The separate Work Experience page explains how to prepare an age-appropriate approach. Any placement depends on the host, availability, safeguarding and the checks required by the responsible adult, school or organiser.

What counts as useful proof?

Useful proof shows what the learner tried, the decisions they made, the result, feedback received and what they would improve. A short project, cost sheet, presentation, process map, customer idea or reflection can all be useful when they are genuine and safe to share.

Does Nu FOCUS receive the answers?

No. The planner does not ask for a child’s name, email address, date of birth or home address, and the answers are not sent to Nu FOCUS. If Remember this pack is selected, the draft is kept for up to 30 days on the device being used.
